    Nanosek is hiring a Security Engineer.

    This is a customer-facing role focused on troubleshooting and resolving complex

    networking and web-security issues across our customers' environments.

    Experience

    - 2+ years in a technical support or customer-facing role, with a track record

    of resolving complex technical issues

    Technical proficiency

    - Strong understanding of internet and TCP/IP fundamentals, including the OSI model

    - Strong knowledge of routing and traffic flow

    - Deep knowledge of core network application flows and services: DNS and Secure

    DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS 1.2 and 1.3, email (SMTP/POP), FTP/TFTP/SFTP, SD-WAN, load

    balancing, SDN, proxy and reverse proxy, WAF, ZTNA, NAT, and APIs

    - Troubleshooting DNS, SSL/TLS, WAF, API, email, ZTNA, and network connectivity

    - Command-line tools such as curl, dig, traceroute, tcpdump, and openssl

    - Familiarity with web servers such as Apache, Nginx, and IIS

    - Scripting in Bash, Python, or JavaScript

    - Knowledge of application structure and web services

    - Experience with Akamai, Imperva, Aryaka, or equivalent

    Additional

    - Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences

    - Availability for flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays, across

    time zones

    - English (mandatory)
