The Engineering & Systems Division within the Missiles & Space Group is seeking an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join the development of advanced electronic systems for next-generation defense and space technologies.
This role offers the opportunity to take part in the complete hardware development lifecycle—from requirements definition and detailed design through system integration, manufacturing support, and troubleshooting—while working on complex multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop electronic boards from the requirements definition stage through full product implementation.
• Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Perform preliminary and detailed hardware design.
• Design electronic circuits and work closely with PCB layout engineers.
• Coordinate and collaborate with Mechanical, Thermal, Reliability, FPGA, and Test Engineering teams.
• Define, execute, and support system integration and verification activities.
• Transfer products to manufacturing and provide ongoing production support.
• Investigate and resolve hardware-related issues and failures.
Requirements
• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering – required.
• At least 7 years of experience designing and developing digital and analog electronic boards – required.
• Strong familiarity with processors, programmable devices, memory components, and hardware interfaces – significant advantage.
• Experience with hardware/software system integration – significant advantage.
• Knowledge of common communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, SpaceWire, SPI, and UART – advantage.
• Hands-on experience with DDR3 and DDR4 memory interfaces – advantage.
