Head of Algorithms

A fast-growing global technology company is looking for an experienced Head of Algorithms to lead a highly skilled team developing cutting-edge Computer Vision and Deep Learning solutions for large-scale, production environments.

Reporting directly to the VP R&D, this role offers the opportunity to drive the company's AI vision while leading the development of innovative, production-grade machine learning solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to combine deep technical leadership with hands-on involvement in designing and delivering state-of-the-art AI solutions, while shaping the long-term algorithmic strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of Algorithm Team Leads and Machine Learning Engineers.

• Define and execute the long-term technical vision and roadmap for Computer Vision and Deep Learning.

• Drive continuous improvement of algorithm accuracy, robustness and production performance.

• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle, from data strategy and model development through deployment and optimization.

• Lead architecture decisions for next-generation deep learning models.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.

• Drive best practices around data pipelines, evaluation methodologies, experimentation and model performance.

• Present technical concepts and strategic initiatives to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Job requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Deep Learning and Computer Vision.

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing Algorithm teams and Team Leads.

• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade ML solutions.

• Strong expertise in modern Deep Learning architectures and Computer Vision.

• Experience leading the complete ML lifecycle, from data preparation through deployment and optimization.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders.

Advantage:

• Experience with Cloud ML platforms and scalable ML infrastructure.

• Familiarity with GPU optimization, Docker, Kubernetes and microservices.

• Experience with advanced Computer Vision and modern AI technologies, including LLMs.
