About the role Commit builds software products for clients across embedded, IoT, SaaS, AI/ML, e-commerce, mobile, and web. We’re looking for a Senior Software Development Manager to lead the multidisciplinary engineering teams on a major engagement end to end — owning delivery, raising the technical bar, and being the person who steps in when things get hard. You’ll manage tech leads and engineers across the stack, partner with product and client stakeholders (including large enterprise and banking environments), and keep a complex program on track. This is a role for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background who can move fluidly between technical, product, and project-level problems and resolve them professionally. What you’ll do • Own end-to-end delivery of a multidisciplinary program — plan, staff, and drive execution against scope, timeline, and quality. • Lead and grow the engineering organization: manage tech leads and engineers across frontend, backend, and QA; hire, mentor, and set standards. • Dive into technical, product, and project-level problems as needed and drive them to professional resolution — you’re the escalation point, not a bystander. • Own the software development methodology and delivery cadence, including estimation, sprint planning, risk management, and reporting. • Partner directly with client stakeholders and executives to align on goals, manage expectations, and report progress with clarity and confidence. • Collaborate with architects and product on scope, HLD, and roadmap; translate business goals into a realistic delivery plan. • Track and report delivery health — velocity, quality, risk, and budget — and keep senior stakeholders informed.

Requirements: Must-have qualifications • 10+ years in software engineering, including several years managing multidisciplinary software teams. • Proven track record leading engineering teams of 20–50 people minimum (managing tech leads and engineers) to deliver complex software products on time and to quality. • Strong technical background with the ability to dive deep into architecture, code, and technical trade-offs and challenge or guide the team credibly. • Close familiarity with software project management methodologies — estimation, planning, risk and dependency management, and delivery tracking. • Demonstrated ability to resolve technical, product, and project-level problems professionally and calmly under pressure. • Experience in large organizations and working with large-scale clients such as banks / financial services. • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder-management, and communication skills. • Professional-level English. Nice to have • Hands-on background as a developer, tech lead, or architect earlier in your career. • Experience across multiple technology domains (web, mobile, cloud, embedded/IoT, AI/ML). • Experience introducing AI-first development practices (Claude Code, Cursor) across teams. • Familiarity with regulated environments and enterprise governance, security, and compliance requirements. • Fluent with modern delivery tooling: Git, JIRA, Jenkins, CI/CD.
