Helfy, a leading and innovative international company in the digital medical/ healthcare sector, operating at significant scale across Europe, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our Finance team. The Controller will be responsible for managing the Company's accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting support, and internal controls. The role requires hands-on involvement in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and close collaboration with management, investors, auditors, and external service providers.
The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with business acumen and a proactive approach to supporting the Company's growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for multiple legal entities
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Support statutory reporting requirements in Israel and other jurisdictions.
• Manage VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, and other statutory filings.
• Coordinate annual audits and ongoing reviews with external auditors.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, including experience in a Big 4 accounting firm with at least 2 years of experience as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Finance Manager in a technology company.
• Experience in multinational is preferred.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and Hebrew, with strong business communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, experience with BI and reporting tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
