About the Job
ELTA Systems, a division of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), is looking for an NPI Manufacturing Engineer to support the introduction of new technologies and products into electronic manufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced defense technologies, bridging R&D and production while driving manufacturing excellence throughout the NPI process.
What the Role Includes:
• Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for advanced electronic products.
• Provide engineering support and process optimization for electronic assembly production lines.
• Define and implement manufacturing materials and processes, including conformal coating and adhesive technologies.
• Work in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 Class 3 (Military) standards.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams on electronic manufacturing and electromechanical assemblies.
• Support manufacturing readiness and continuous process improvement.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product reliability.
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers in Israel and internationally.
Requirements:
• B.Sc. in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field – Required.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in electronic manufacturing processes – Required.
• Hands-on experience with SMT, soldering, conformal coating, adhesives, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Proven experience in failure analysis and root cause investigation.
• Deep understanding of advanced PCB soldering technologies.
