Strategic Construction Project Engineer – Strategic Projects Unit

Job Description:

• Planning and managing large-scale engineering projects (process and infrastructure) aligned with client needs.

• Leading major projects from the planning phase through execution and handover, including: characterizing technological solutions, feasibility studies, budget management, engineering design, cross-functional integration, troubleshooting, scheduling, and risk management.

• Maintaining ongoing communication with relevant stakeholders across factories, engineering firms, supervision companies, and Tnuva headquarters, as well as providing professional guidance to external contractors.

• Writing project documentation in compliance with project management methodologies.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering – Mandatory.

• Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience as an engineer in manufacturing or as a project engineer (planning & execution) – Mandatory.

• Project Leadership: Proven track record in leading large-scale construction projects or senior engineering/maintenance management in large plants – Preferred.

• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of industrial processes and energy systems (cooling/HVAC, compressed air, water treatment, etc.), with the ability to read/draft P&ID and Layouts.

• Management Skills: Strong capability in leading cross-functional interfaces, managing external contractors, and driving independent operations in the field.

• Language & Systems: High proficiency in English and experience with professional tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, ERP).
