Head of Optronics Integration | Missile & Space Systems Division

We are looking for a Head of Optronics Integration Department to join Tamam, within IAI’s Missile & Space Division.

The position includes:

• Leading the production and integration lines within the Optronics Directorate, with direct management of approximately 6 department managers and overall responsibility for around 80 production employees, team leaders, department managers, and production engineers

• Developing production work plans and ensuring on-time delivery while meeting quality, budget, and production targets

• Planning and implementing production infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities

• Managing day-to-day interfaces with Engineering, Business, and Quality organizations

• Defining and monitoring KPIs to measure production performance and presenting results on an ongoing basis

• Preparing reports and presentations to communicate and monitor production progress across various management forums

• Leading growth, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives across the production lines

• Reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Optronics Operations

• Serving in a hands-on leadership role, combining office-based management with a strong presence on the production floor

Requirements:

• Israeli citizenship

• Bachelor’s degree or Practical Engineering diploma in Industrial Engineering & Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• At least 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary production operations

• Direct management experience leading 20 or more employees

• Experience working with ERP systems

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Additional criteria (advantage):

• Previous experience in the defense industry

• Good knowledge of SAP

• Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Leadership criteria:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate authority effectively

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and develop employees

• System-level thinking with a collaborative approach

• Experience managing work plans, project risks, and project budgets

• Ability to formulate business and organizational strategies aligned with customer needs

• Ability to identify and leverage business opportunities
