About WideOps

WideOps is a premier cloud professional services provider and a leading authority in cloud

infrastructure management, modernization, and optimization. We empower organizations to

efficiently scale their cloud resources, identify critical performance bottlenecks, and unlock

actionable operational insights. Our elite services enable businesses to optimize their multi-cloud

usage, fortify security postures, and achieve unmatched operational efficiency.

Role Overview

As the Cloud Solutions Team Leader (GCP / AWS) at WideOps, you will hold a senior, high-trust

leadership position at the heart of our technical organization. Reporting directly to the CTO and

working with him as a close strategic partner, you will lead our team of cloud architects and DevOps

engineers, own the quality and consistency of our technical delivery, and serve as the senior

technical authority for our most strategic clients and engagements.

This is a player-coach role that blends people leadership, high-level architectural design, and hands-

on engineering. You will lead discovery calls with potential and existing customers, assess complex

system requirements, identify emerging opportunities in the Generative AI (GenAI) space, and

actively participate in practical engineering efforts alongside our delivery teams — while also

representing WideOps' technical leadership across the company and in the field whenever needed.

We are seeking an expert architect and proven team leader with deep, hands-on expertise in Google

Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS), who is ready to take broad ownership

and grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities

● Team Leadership & Delivery Ownership: Lead, mentor, and grow the WideOps team of cloud

architects and DevOps engineers. Own delivery quality, technical standards, engineering

practices, and workload prioritization across concurrent client engagements.

● Strategic Partnership with the CTO: Work hand-in-hand with the CTO on company-wide

technical strategy, service offerings, and architectural direction - translating strategy into

execution across the team, and representing WideOps' technical leadership with clients,

partners, and internal stakeholders whenever required.

● Client Discovery & Architectural Design: Lead technical scoping workshops with clients to

translate complex business challenges into scalable, secure, and cost-effective multi-cloud

architectures, and act as the senior escalation point for architectural decisions.

● Cloud Modernization & GenAI Advisory: Guide clients through modernization journeys and

migration strategies, actively identifying opportunities to integrate Generative AI solutions

and modern application architectures.

● Hands-on Delivery & DevOps Engineering: Stay hands-on: partner with delivery teams to

build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deployment pipelines, ensuring architectures are

seamlessly executed to elite-quality standards.

● Optimization, Reviews & Talent Development: Conduct comprehensive architectural and

FinOps reviews for diverse stakeholders (up to C-level), lead technical hiring and onboarding,

and foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous learning within the engineering

team.

Requirements & Qualifications

● Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience leading technical teams (architects, DevOps, or

engineering squads), including mentoring, task prioritization, and delivery accountability -

ideally in a professional services or consulting environment.

● Communication & Presentation: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in

English & Hebrew. Proven ability to conduct discovery calls and articulate sophisticated

technical concepts to both engineering teams and non-technical business executives, and to

represent the company at a senior level.

● Cloud Platform Expertise: 5+ years of proven experience architecting, deploying, and

managing complex production workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon

Web Services (AWS), with deep knowledge of their core services (compute, storage,

networking, databases).

● Core Technical Foundations: Strong foundational knowledge of operating systems

(Linux/Windows), virtualization environments, database architectures (SQL/NoSQL), and

proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python and Bash) for automation and

troubleshooting.

● Modernization & Serverless Mastery: Practical experience implementing containerized

solutions (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE/EKS) and serverless technologies (Cloud Run, AWS

Fargate, ECS, Lambda, Cloud Run Functions).

● Hands-On DevOps & IaC: Strong, hands-on background in DevOps practices. Expert-level

knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - specifically Terraform - along with deep

experience in CI/CD pipeline construction.

● Migration Experience: Proven track record of guiding enterprise migrations (re-hosting, re-

platforming, and refactoring), particularly On-Prem to Cloud or cloud-to-cloud migrations

(such as AWS to GCP).

● Client-Facing Professionalism: A consultative, customer-centric mindset with strong

analytical, scoping, and problem-solving abilities, and the maturity to own decisions

independently under broad executive guidance.

● AI/ML Familiarity: An understanding of the modern AI landscape, with the ability to identify

opportunities where Generative AI can drive value for clients.

● Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or

equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Advantages

● Multi-Cloud experience: Hands-on architectural and deployment experience with both GCP

and AWS.

● Prior experience as a Team Leader, Delivery Lead, or Principal Architect in a cloud consulting /

MSP / professional services company.

● One of the following Professional-level cloud certifications:

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

● Deep expertise in FinOps methodologies and cloud cost allocation tools.

● Experience building or scaling an engineering team, including hiring and defining engineering

standards.
