Software Engineer (C++)

Company Description Ogen MedTech HR, part of Ogen HR, provides specialized placement and manpower services for companies in the medical and technology sectors. This position is for another company Ogen represents and you will be hired by that company (not by Ogen).

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field — required

• Strong mathematical foundation and analytical thinking — required

• A genuine connection to physical/real-world domains, not software development alone

• Significant advantage for graduates of robotics, physics, simulations, applied mathematics or similar fields

• We're looking for someone who understands that the software is part of a complex physical/engineering system, and who can grasp the domain — not just write code

Professional Experience

• Approximately 3 years of experience developing in Modern C++ (C++11/14/17 and above) — required

• Experience developing complex, existing systems — not only greenfield projects built from scratch

• Ability to read and understand a large codebase and introduce changes safely

• Strong algorithmic background and high-level problem-solving ability

• Python — an advantage, but not required

Nature of the Role

• Development of a mission-critical defense system

• The work is on an existing system, not a new product

• The system is not being rewritten — every small change is made in a measured way, with an understanding of the architecture and the impact on the system as a whole

• Requires the ability to deliver critical developments while maintaining stability and quality

• A team of approximately 6 developers

• Around six months of onboarding in the Haifa area, then two days a week in the Haifa area with the remainder at the Hadera site
