AI Team Lead

We’re looking for a passionate and forward-thinking AI/ML Engineer to join our R&D team at IVIX, where we use cutting-edge AI to fight financial crimes .

In this role, you’ll focus on building and deploying advanced AI systems powered by large language models (LLMs), autonomous agents, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures. You’ll help us turn noisy, unstructured web data—social media posts, documents, business listings—into structured, high-confidence insights at scale. Led by security, tech, tax and financial crime experts, and advised by a diverse team of former IRS commissioners, IVIX works with dozens of state and federal governments globally.

• Design, prototype, and deploy LLM-powered systems for information extraction, reasoning, and classification.

• Build autonomous agents that can interact with knowledge sources, APIs, and structured data to derive actionable insights.

• Implement and optimize RAG pipelines, integrating vector databases and LLM orchestration frameworks.

• Collaborate with product, data, and software teams to translate business goals into AI-powered workflows.

• Evaluate and integrate tools such as LangChain, OpenAI, Gemini, vector DBs (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone), and others.

• 5+ years of experience in traditional machine learning, including model development, optimization, and deployment in production environments

• 2+ years of experience in generative AI (LLMs, fine-tuning, embeddings, applied NLP use cases)

• Proven track record of leading AI initiatives end-to-end, from research and prototyping to production-scale deployment

• Experience defining and driving AI strategy, identifying opportunities, and aligning technical direction with business goal

• Strong background in building and managing AI/Data Science teams, fostering innovation, and mentoring talent

• Experience with agent-based architectures, RAG pipelines, and integrating APIs, vector databases, or knowledge graphs

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), data engineering workflows, and enterprise-scale system design

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to partner with executives and cross-functional stakeholders
