Materials Lab Manager

We are looking for

For Elbit Cyclone site in Bar-Lev Industrial Zone we are looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our team. This is a leadership role in a professional aerospace environment, managing laboratory operations and ensuring the highest quality testing standards for materials and components in alignment with customer and aviation requirements. In this role you will

Manage a team of laboratory technicians

Hold professional responsibility for performing tests on materials and components according to customer and aerospace standards

Oversee daily laboratory operations including equipment calibration, stock monitoring, and laboratory maintenance

Write professional specifications and procedures

Report deviations promptly and take an active part in failure investigations

Provide professional training and mentoring for laboratory staff

Requirements

B.Sc. in Materials Engineering - Mandatory

M.Sc. in Materials Engineering - Advantage

At least 5 years of experience working in a materials laboratory - Mandatory

Experience in manufacturing and testing of composite materials - Advantage

Experience in manufacturing and testing of metallic materials and/or chemical testing - Advantage

Experience managing a small team and familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP - Advantage

Strong command of English

Experience working with multiple interfaces, customers, and suppliers in Israel and abroad

Ability to lead employees and cross-organizational processes with assertiveness and system-wide understanding

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork ability, and high self-learning capability
