HPEM Electrical Engineer

The Land Systems Division at Israel Aerospace Industries ELTA Systems is looking for an HPEM Electrical Engineer to join an innovative engineering team.

The position includes:

• Designing, integrating, and developing advanced High-Power Electromagnetics (HPEM) systems

• Developing protection, hardening, and immunity solutions for systems exposed to EMP and HPM threats

• Performing electromagnetic analysis and supporting the development of advanced RF and electromagnetic solutions

• Conducting laboratory testing, measurements, and characterization of electromagnetic and RF systems

• Analyzing test results and supporting the optimization and improvement of system performance

• Working with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the development and integration process

What We’re Looking For

• B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering – Mandatory

• M.Sc. in Physics – Advantage

• At least 3 years of experience in antenna development, high-frequency component design, or EMI/EMC engineering, gained in industry and/or military service – Mandatory

• Proven experience with electromagnetic analysis tools such as CST, ADS, COMSOL, or similar – Mandatory

• Hands-on experience working in an RF laboratory – Mandatory

• Experience working with RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators – Mandatory

• Deep theoretical understanding of the physical and mathematical principles of electromagnetic fields – Mandatory

• Knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python for data processing, algorithm development, and test process automation – Advantage
