Senior Builder

Our Employee Services division is building intelligent, scalable platforms that bring AI-driven products directly into our customers’ workflows. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer / Builder who loves creating products from the ground up, taking ownership of complex technical challenges, and turning ideas into production-ready systems.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, iterating quickly, and making a direct impact on the product and architecture from day one. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to develop the next generation of AI-powered solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

Build from Scratch: Design and develop new backend services and platform capabilities, taking features from concept to production.

Hands-on Development: Spend the majority of your time writing high-quality code, solving complex engineering problems, and delivering scalable solutions.

System Design: Design reliable, distributed cloud-native systems with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

AI Product Development: Build AI-first products where AI is a core part of the customer experience, collaborating closely with AI engineers and product teams.

Own Your Domain: Take full ownership of the services you build—from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful customer-facing capabilities.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience.

• A builder mindset with a passion for creating products and platforms from the ground up.

• Strong experience designing and building large-scale distributed SaaS systems.

• Deep backend engineering expertise and strong software design skills.

• Experience building highly concurrent, multi-threaded systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to work through ambiguity.

• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, production-quality code.

• Experience working in fast-paced product environments.

Required Tech Stack

• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes (Azure – advantage)

• Datastores: MongoDB, Elasticsearch

• Architecture: Microservices, cloud-native systems, event-driven architecture

• Experience building AI-first or AI-native production systems.

• Experience building new products, services, or platforms from scratch.

• Background in enterprise SaaS or large-scale cloud products.
