Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineering Department Manager

Position Description

Management of the plant’s central engineering team in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, and Control.

• Direct management of employees and middle managers.

• Leading a team of approximately 20 employees under direct supervision, as well as matrix management of approximately 15 electrical technicians/electricians who report operationally to production and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the plant’s main power supply systems, high-voltage switchgear, backup power systems, and electrical infrastructure.

• Management of all electrical engineering projects, including maintenance of electrical panels and distribution systems.

• Professional matrix responsibility for electrical managers and electricians across the plants, including work standards, certifications, and safety compliance.

• Involvement and leadership in resolving complex technical failures and breakdowns across the plants.

• Overall responsibility for the Instrumentation function, including design, project execution, and direct management of the instrumentation team responsible for routine maintenance of all instrumentation equipment, including machinery instrumentation systems.

• Direct responsibility for all control systems within the plant. The facility currently operates three different control platforms: GE, Siemens, and Foxboro.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.

• Proven experience working with high-voltage systems – mandatory.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a demanding and fast-paced work environment.

• Ability to work effectively with complex interfaces and stakeholders, including IT, Procurement, Operations, and matrix-managed technical teams.

• Strong learning agility and the ability to quickly understand manufacturing processes and the impact of various operational factors.
