Vice President Operations

VP Operations Location: Barlev Industrial Park, Northern Israel

Reports to: CEO About Agwa Agwa develops innovative solutions that enable vessels worldwide to grow and consume fresh vegetables at sea. Our operations combine hardware manufacturing, consumable supply management, and a global logistics network serving customers across multiple regions.

As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on VP Operations to lead and optimize our global supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, inventory management, and consumable distribution operations.

This executive leadership role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, driving cost efficiencies, and building scalable processes that support the company’s growth and profitability objectives. Position Overview The VP Operations will be responsible for leading Agwa’s end-to-end operations, with a primary focus on:

·        Complex global logistics and distribution

·        Worldwide consumables supply and replenishment

·        Third-party logistics (3PL) management

·        Procurement and vendor management

·        Inventory planning and forecasting

·        Cost reduction initiatives across logistics, freight, procurement, warehousing, and consumables sourcing

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and has a proven track record of building efficient, scalable supply chain operations in a global environment. Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain & Logistics Leadership ·        Build, lead, and optimize Agwa’s global supply chain operations.

·        Design and implement scalable logistics processes to support business growth.

·        Oversee procurement, warehousing, inventory management, fulfillment, and distribution activities.

·        Develop and maintain robust demand planning and forecasting processes.

·        Ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery to customers worldwide. Consumables Distribution & Manufacturing ·        Manage the day-to-day distribution of consumable products to a global customer base.

·        Ensure product quality.

·        Ensure consistent product availability and on-time replenishment.

·        Develop programs that improve service levels while reducing operational complexity and cost.

·        Manufacturing – oversee production planning and coordination with manufacturing partners, ensuring alignment between production capacity, demand forecasts, inventory requirements, and global distribution needs while maintaining quality standards and driving continuous process improvement.

·        Standardize and oversee global seed shipment processes, ensuring compliance with international phytosanitary regulations, import/export requirements, and country-specific restrictions. Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Management ·        Establish, manage, and optimize relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and distribution partners worldwide.

·        Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and service-level agreements.

·        Monitor performance through KPIs and ensure continuous improvement. Cost Reduction & Operational Efficiency ·        Identify and execute measurable cost-reduction initiatives across logistics, shipping, procurement, warehousing, and consumables sourcing.

·        Optimize transportation routes, carrier selection, inventory levels, packaging, and fulfillment processes.

·        Improve operational efficiency through process redesign and data-driven decision-making. Procurement & Vendor Management ·        Manage procurement activities and supplier relationships across multiple regions.

·        Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure continuity of supply.

·        Maintain competitive costs while preserving quality and service standards. Inventory & Planning ·        Oversee inventory planning, replenishment, and forecasting activities.

·        Balance inventory availability with working capital optimization.

·        Implement inventory control and optimization methodologies. Production Oversight ·        Oversee hardware production operations and coordinate manufacturing output with customer demand.

·        Ensure production quality, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.

·        Align manufacturing, procurement, and logistics activities. Cross-Functional Leadership ·        Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, R&D, Finance, and Executive Management.

·        Align operational capabilities with customer demand and strategic business objectives.

·        Support company-wide planning and operational decision-making. Performance Management ·        Define and monitor KPIs across logistics, procurement, inventory, manufacturing, and overall operational performance.

·        Provide regular reporting and recommendations to executive leadership.

·        Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. RequirementsMust Have ·        8+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Procurement leadership roles.

·        Proven experience managing complex global supply chain and logistics operations.

·        Hands-on experience distributing consumable products through international supply chains.

·        Strong experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and distribution partners.

·        Demonstrated track record of achieving significant cost reductions across logistics, shipping, procurement, and supply chain operations.

·        Strong commercial negotiation skills.

·        Experience managing inventory planning, forecasting, and supply planning processes.

·        Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

·        Strong project management and execution skills.

·        Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company environment.

·        Fluent English. Advantage ·        Experience serving maritime, industrial, agricultural, or global B2B customers.

·        Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partners, including suppliers in the Far East.

·        Experience in hardware manufacturing and production environments.

·        Familiarity with ERP and supply chain management systems.
