Backend Developer | Node.js

A global product company developing a large-scale communication platform is looking for a Backend Developer to join its product engineering team in Tel Aviv.

This is a hands-on Backend role focused on complex Production systems, core infrastructure, performance, scalability, and end-to-end ownership.

You will work on core systems, Microservices, REST APIs, databases, and distributed systems, in close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.

Tech Stack:

Node.js, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, Event-Driven Systems, Production Systems

Responsibilities:

• Develop complex Backend systems using Node.js

• Work on core Production systems

• Design and develop REST APIs and Microservices

• Work with SQL / NoSQL databases and distributed systems

• Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability

• Take end-to-end ownership of Backend features and infrastructure components

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of Backend development experience

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js as a main stack

• Experience in a product company or startup

• Experience developing Backend systems in a Production environment

• Experience designing and developing REST APIs

• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases

• Experience with Microservices or Event-Driven systems

• Experience working on systems with a focus on performance and scalability

• B.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering or an equivalent strong technical background

Advantages:

• Experience with Real-Time systems

• Experience with Security / Authentication / Authorization

• Experience developing AI capabilities as part of a product, such as LLM APIs, RAG, Agents, or AI-based features

• Experience with additional Backend technologies
