R&D Group Lead

Jeen is looking for an experienced R&D Group Lead to lead multiple engineering teams building our next-generation Enterprise AI platform.

This is a highly technical leadership role combining people management, architecture, and hands-on technical leadership. You'll help shape the technical direction of our platform while partnering closely with Product, Architecture, and Executive leadership to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams and Team Leads, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.

• Own the delivery, execution, and technical direction of several engineering domains.

• Drive architectural decisions across distributed, cloud-native, and enterprise-scale systems.

• Partner closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and AI teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Lead strategic platform initiatives, engineering processes, and SDLC improvements.

• Balance long-term architectural vision with rapid product delivery.

• Drive sprint planning, execution, releases, and engineering best practices.

• Recruit, grow, and retain high-performing engineering teams.

• Promote engineering excellence, code quality, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience leading multiple engineering teams or Group Leads.

• 10+ years of software development experience, including extensive hands-on experience designing large-scale distributed systems.

• Strong experience with our technology stack: React, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other databases

• Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift

• Strong architectural background designing cloud-native, microservices-based platforms.

• Experience building high-scale SaaS products.

• Experience leading complex system modernization or platform transformation initiatives.

• Proven experience hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering managers and senior engineers.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and executive teams.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution in a fast-paced startup environment.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building Enterprise AI, GenAI or LLM-based products.

• Experience with On-Premise / Air-Gapped enterprise environments.

• Experience with platform or infrastructure engineering teams serving internal engineering organizations.

• Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, AI agents, or model integrations.

• Experience working in rapidly growing startups.
