Application Engineer

A global technology company is looking for an Application Engineer to join its multidisciplinary R&D team developing advanced optical inspection systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide global pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers

• Analyze customer applications, investigate technical challenges, and prepare internal and customer-facing reports

• Validate new features and perform system testing throughout the development lifecycle

• Work closely with Software, Hardware, Algorithm, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering teams to define innovative technical solutions

• Translate customer requirements into product features and support future product roadmap planning

• Deliver product training and technical guidance to engineering and field teams

• Collaborate with global teams and customers to solve complex multidisciplinary technical challenges

Requirements:

• Practical Engineer in Software or Electronics

• Experience working with multidisciplinary hardware/software systems

• System Engineering experience – advantage

• Understanding of manufacturing processes – advantage

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a systems-oriented mindset

• Excellent interpersonal skills, customer orientation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Passion for learning, teamwork, and working in a dynamic R&D environment

• Willingness to travel abroad 2–3 times per year, primarily to the Far East, for periods of one to two weeks
