Application Development Engineer

The Application Development Engineer serves as an interface between the marketing and the R&D, ensuring product requirements are properly delivered from marketing to R&D and verifying the products’ quality at the end of the development cycle, by using advanced analytic tools • Define application requirements based on customer processes • Validate new algorithms, optics, and system capabilities during prerelease cycles. • Run structured experiments and statistical/image‑based analyses • Work daily with Algorithm, Physics, Systems Engineering, and Software teams to translate customer necessity into technical requirements (user stories, wireframes, workflow definitions). • Prepare validation reports, application documentation, and evaluation summaries. • Train internal stakeholders on new applications

Requirements: • Proven research background — experience conducting structured experiments, analyzing complex datasets, and driving conclusions using scientific methodology. • Academic background in any scientific or engineering field , including Physics, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related sciences . • Strong background in multidisciplinary systems . • Strong data analysis skills; experience with statistical/image‑based analysis tools (Excel, JMP, MATLAB, or Python). • Ability to evaluate and validate algorithmic (including AI‑based) system performance. • Fluent technical English. • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and inspection workflows • Travel internationally (20-30%) for installations, support, and customer engagements Important Clarification • Coding is not part of the role • Candidates primarily focused on software development are not fit
