PhD Position Available: Cellular and Molecular mechanisms Underlying Learning and Memory, Insular Cortex Function, and Translational Neuroscience

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research team investigating the molecular and circuit mechanisms underlying learning, memory, and cognition.

Research Projects

The successful candidate will join one of two major research programs:

• The Insula Project – investigating the role of the insular cortex in learning, memory, and adaptive behavior.

• The QR2 Project – studying the role of Quinone Reductase 2 (QR2) in memory formation and cognitive enhancement, including translational neuroscience approaches aimed at developing novel therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold an MSc degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Physics, or a related field and demonstrate strong motivation for scientific research.
