DevOps Linux Administrator

Your role will include:

Full operational responsibility for the institute's Linux server infrastructure

Improving system availability, ongoing monitoring, and handling complex incidents in Production environments

Management, planning, and leading complex projects in the field of computing infrastructure, including full documentation of systems and processes

Planning, specification, and implementation of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions

Leading automation, standardization, and work procedure improvement processes

Working across multiple interfaces, both within the institute and externally.

Skills and abilities:

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems including RHEL-based Linux servers

At least 3 years of experience working with LAMP systems

Familiarity and experience working with MySQL databases

Experience writing Python and Bash scripts

Proven experience working with automation tools Ansible and Satellite

Proven experience in troubleshooting complex systems

Proven experience in designing and implementing High Availability (HA) solutions

Experience writing architecture documents and work procedures

Familiarity with the Containers world: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift – significant advantage

Experience working with cloud infrastructure: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud – significant advantage

Experience setting up and working with Landing Zones in the cloud – significant advantage

Experience working with DevOps teams and with VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) – significant advantage

Good understanding of information security and networking products

High proficiency in Hebrew and English, both written and spoken

Initiative, personal accountability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Strong self-learning ability and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

High level of service orientation and interpersonal communication skills
