About the Role

A leading healthcare organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Lead Data Platform Engineer to lead its Data Platform team.

In this role, you'll manage a team responsible for the organization's enterprise Data Platform, supporting large-scale Data, Streaming, and AI infrastructure. You'll lead strategic platform initiatives, oversee mission-critical production environments, and collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, Architecture, and Infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Data Platform Engineering team.

• Own and manage the enterprise Kafka and Confluent Platform ecosystem.

• Administer Azure Synapse and enterprise Data Platforms.

• Lead DataOps, MLOps, and AI Platform infrastructure.

• Deliver platform deployment, upgrade, and migration projects.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

• Provide architectural guidance to Data Engineering and Data Science teams.

• Collaborate with vendors and technology partners.

• Drive automation, observability, and monitoring initiatives.

• Lead Capacity Planning, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery strategies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams.

• 5+ years of experience building and operating enterprise Data or Streaming platforms.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kafka and Confluent Platform.

• Strong Linux administration experience.

• Experience troubleshooting complex production environments.

• Experience with Hadoop, Cloudera, Databricks, Spark, or Azure Synapse.

• Hands-on experience with Ansible.

• Experience with DataOps, MLOps, or AI Platforms.

• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering and Architecture teams.
