Senior Data Analyst

Your Day-to-Day

• Analyze business processes, customer journeys, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.

• Gather and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and actionable recommendations.

• Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and additional stakeholders to drive cross-functional initiatives.

• Support the design, implementation, and rollout of new products, features, and internal processes.

• Build business cases, define KPIs, and measure impact of initiatives.

• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities.

• Design and build views and aggregation layers in the data warehouse to support reliable, performant, and self-serve analytics.

• Develop and maintain semantic layer definitions – including metrics, dimensions, and business logic – to ensure consistent reporting across teams.

• Create and optimize aggregations and summary tables to enable fast, scalable analysis across large datasets.

• Create documentation, process flows, and presentations for stakeholders and management.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst / Business Analyst / Product Analyst or a related role.

• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn complexity into clarity.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.

• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to design views, CTEs, and complex aggregations – required.

• Hands-on experience building or working with a semantic layer (e.g., dbt metrics, Looker LookML, Cube, or similar) – advantage.

• Familiarity with data modeling concepts – star/snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, aggregation strategies – advantage.

• Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or regulated environments – significant advantage.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development processes.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
