About the Role

A leading government organization is seeking a Mainframe Operations Specialist to join its production operations team.

This role involves supporting and operating critical Mainframe environments, monitoring production processes, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring the stability and availability of mission-critical services.

The position requires hands-on experience with Mainframe technologies, Control-M scheduling environments, and production support operations within a highly regulated and enterprise-scale environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Mainframe production environments.

• Manage and control batch processing activities using Control-M.

• Monitor system performance and ensure operational continuity.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents and operational issues.

• Support Mainframe environments running on IBM z/OS.

• Work closely with infrastructure, development, and support teams.

• Execute operational procedures and maintain system availability.

• Participate in incident management and problem resolution processes.

• Support critical systems and business operations in a 24/7 environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working with Control-M for Mainframe (MF) and Control-M Open Systems.

• Experience working in IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.

• Experience supporting production environments.

• Proven troubleshooting and incident resolution experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently in a mission-critical environment.

• Availability for on-call support and 24/7 operational coverage when required.
