THE ROLE

We are looking for a seasoned and execution-driven Head of QA to own the quality function across our portfolio of multiple applications, serving millions of users worldwide. In this role you will provide technical leadership and guidance to QA engineers and team leads across R&D, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with R&D team leads, product managers, and analysts to embed quality across the SDLC, and will leverage AI-powered tools to scale coverage and velocity. You will report to the VP R&D.

What You’ll Do?

• Matrix-manage, hire and grow QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Own the company-wide quality strategy – test plans, release processes, environments, coverage targets, and quality KPIs across web, backend, and mobile (iOS / Android).

• Define and evolve our test automation strategy and frameworks, driving automation-first thinking across all R&D teams.

• Drive adoption of AI-powered testing tools and agentic workflows to improve coverage, reduce regression cycles, and increase team velocity.

• Partner with R&D leadership to embed quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and ensure release readiness at scale.

• Stay hands-on where it matters – reviewing test architectures, investigating production-impacting issues, and contributing to critical test efforts.

• Own the QA tooling stack and vendor relationships, balancing cost, coverage, and developer experience.

Requirements

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Must-have

• Proven success record (5+ years) leading QA teams in hyper-growth tech companies, including managing team leads or senior ICs.

• Deep hands-on experience in building automation strategies from the ground up.

• Strong background in mobile app QA (iOS / Android), including device coverage, release pipelines, and store submission flows.

• Experience leveraging AI-powered testing tools to scale quality and velocity.

• Strong command of QA processes and methodology – test planning, risk-based testing, release management, and quality metrics.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.

• A proactive “Can-Do” attitude and a drive to build something new.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in B2C and mobile-app oriented companies.

• Experience supporting high-scale production environments (millions of DAU).

• Experience working with global and distributed teams.
