As our Data Engineering Team Lead, you'll own the strategy, infrastructure, and people behind every data-driven decision our business makes, and shape how a growing data function scales.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
• Set the technical roadmap for data engineering, aligning it directly with business priorities
• Champion the complete data lifecycle - from ingestion and infrastructure through analysis and automated reporting - to maximize the strategic value of data across the company
• Design, build, and evolve scalable, high-performance data pipelines that keep pace with a growing, diversifying business
• Lead continuous optimization of the data analytics platform and infrastructure - balancing performance, scalability, and cost
• Build and enforce a strong data governance framework - data quality, monitoring, and security - and take full accountability for data integrity across the org
What you bring:
• 5+ years in Data Engineering (startup experience a plus), with proven work designing scalable, analytics-ready data models and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar)
• 3+ years in a leadership role, with a track record of building and guiding high-performing teams
• Hands-on expertise with modern orchestration and transformation frameworks (Airflow, DBT)
• Strong database fundamentals — schema design, query optimization — plus familiarity with NoSQL use cases
• Solid grasp of cloud data services (AWS or GCP) and streaming platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
• Fluent in Python and SQL, with backend experience (services, APIs, CI/CD)
• Strong communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Genuine interest in applying AI and automation to improve engineering efficiency
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
