Business Applications & Information Systems Department Manager

A successful and well-established company in the automotive industry is looking for an experienced Business Applications & Information Systems Department Manager to lead its business systems, applications and development activities.

This is a senior, business-oriented role focused on enterprise applications, SAP Business One, BI, digital solutions and the development of systems that support the company’s core operations.

The role combines management of a multidisciplinary professional team with hands-on involvement, strategic thinking and close collaboration with senior management and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the company’s Business Applications and Information Systems department.

• Manage a multidisciplinary team of SAP implementers, application support specialists, BI professionals and software developers.

• Take end-to-end ownership of SAP Business One as the company’s core business platform.

• Lead the continued development, optimization and expansion of SAP Business One across the organization.

• Translate business challenges and operational needs into effective technological and software-based solutions.

• Lead cross-organizational projects involving ERP, BI, digital platforms, interfaces, integrations and automation.

• Manage Web and digital development activities, from business requirements and specification through implementation.

• Lead the company’s BI, reporting and management information capabilities.

• Define the department’s professional roadmap and promote innovative solutions, including AI-based tools and process automation.

• Manage external software vendors, implementation partners, projects and budgets.

Requirements:

• Proven managerial experience in Information Systems, Business Applications or Enterprise Applications - mandatory.

• Significant experience managing employees or professional teams - mandatory.

• Strong and current hands-on experience with SAP Business One - mandatory.

• Proven experience leading ERP implementation, development and optimization projects - mandatory.

• Strong SQL knowledge and the ability to write and analyze queries - mandatory.

• Experience with BI systems, reporting tools and data-driven business processes - mandatory.

• Experience working with software developers, integrations, interfaces or digital systems - highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.

• Ability to combine hands-on professional involvement with strategic thinking and team leadership.

• Experience introducing AI, automation or advanced digital solutions into business processes - an advantage.
