About the Role

This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to design and deliver production-grade GenAI and agentic systems.

The focus of this role is Machine Learning Science and applied GenAI system design, not primarily software engineering or infrastructure development. We are looking for candidates who can own model behaviour, experimentation, evaluation, and system design, while also influencing product direction and cross-functional decision-making.

Candidates whose experience is primarily engineering-led (e.g. SDK development, backend services, or GenAI infrastructure builds without strong ML science ownership) are not the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end GenAI and agentic systems in production

• Define and own evaluation frameworks, metrics, and experimentation strategies

• Translate ambiguous product problems into structured ML and GenAI solutions

• Analyse model behaviour and performance to drive continuous improvement

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams

• Influence ML system design decisions (e.g. RAG, agentic architectures, orchestration approaches)

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team

• Act as a strong cross-functional partner to shape roadmap and priorities

Required Experience

• 6+ years’ experience in Machine Learning / ML Science roles delivering production systems

• Proven experience building GenAI or LLM-based applications at scale

• Strong expertise in agentic systems and NLP solutions

• Deep understanding of experimentation, evaluation, and model performance analysis

• Experience working in ambiguous environments and shaping technical direction

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers or scientists

• Hands-on Python experience; familiarity with LangChain (or similar), SQL, and Spark or equivalent

A Senior Machine Learning Scientist with strong GenAI experience who combines hands-on model and system design expertise with senior-level stakeholder management and mentorship.

The ideal candidate will have delivered production-grade agentic systems at scale, with a strong focus on evaluation, experimentation, and ML-driven decision-making, rather than purely engineering or infrastructure-heavy work.
