A leading software company is looking for an experienced Development Manager to join its executive leadership team. This is a highly strategic role and one of the most senior positions in the organization, with full responsibility for leading the development department and driving the company’s technology vision.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, a strategic mindset, and extensive experience managing development organizations, while serving as a key partner to business stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

Lead and Manage the Development Department

• Provide overall leadership for the development organization, including software engineers and QA professionals.

• Directly manage a team of approximately 8–9 employees.

• Define and execute the department’s strategy, roadmap, and operational plans.

• Establish and improve development methodologies, processes, and best practices.

• Drive innovation and promote the adoption of new technologies, automation, and AI-driven development tools.

Partner with Business Stakeholders

• Collaborate closely with leadership, sales, and marketing teams.

• Prioritize development initiatives according to business needs and strategic objectives.

• Manage planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and delivery priorities.

• Ensure alignment between technology execution and business goals.

Work with Existing Customers

• Gather and manage customer requirements.

• Prioritize new feature development and product enhancements.

• Oversee the resolution of bugs, technical issues, and system improvements.

• Balance customer expectations with business and technical priorities.

Requirements

• Significant management experience leading development departments or business units, not just development teams.

• Proven track record in building strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans for software organizations.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive organizational change and cross-functional initiatives.

• Extensive background in software development and a deep understanding of modern development environments.

• Experience working with executive stakeholders, business teams, and customers.

• Hands-on experience implementing and leveraging AI tools within software development organizations – required.

• Experience working in PHP-based environments – a strong advantage.
