Backend Engineer - Platform

Paragon is a fast-growing cyber intelligence company, rapidly establishing itself as a key player in the industry. We are a young and innovative company, building a cutting-edge product in the cyber intelligence domain, based in Tel Aviv. We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will primarily work on our client-facing platform backend services, contributing to a valuable, simple, and aesthetic interface that supports a highly complex cyber intelligence collection system. You will take ownership of end-to-end features, collaborate closely with multiple teams, and play an active role in shaping both product and technical decisions.

Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in backend development, with proven experience building complex, large-scale systems • Strong experience designing and developing distributed systems, including microservices architectures • Hands-on experience with messaging / queue-based systems (e.g., Kafka or similar) • Solid experience working with databases, including MongoDB and/or SQL databases • Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and proactive problem-solving • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment Advantages • Familiarity with Kubernetes and a basic understanding of its architecture (pods, deployments, etc.) • Previous experience in the cyber or intelligence industry
