The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Operator with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe operations.

Monitor and operate IBM Mainframe production systems, ensuring maximum availability and reliability.

Perform daily operational activities, including job scheduling, batch processing, console monitoring, and system health checks.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents in a timely manner, escalating issues when required.

Monitor system performance and proactively detect potential issues before they impact business operations.

Support business-critical applications and ensure successful completion of production processing.

Coordinate with infrastructure, application support, database, storage, and network teams during incident resolution.

Execute operational procedures, disaster recovery activities, and scheduled maintenance tasks.

Maintain operational documentation, logs, and runbooks.

Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies, and change management processes.

Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during planned maintenance and critical production events.

Who You Are

Minimum 10 years of experience as an IBM Mainframe Operator in enterprise production environments.

Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system.

Experience with JES2/JES3, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and IBM Mainframe console operations.

Experience with job scheduling tools such as CA-7, Control-M, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, or equivalent.

Familiarity with CICS, DB2, IMS, RACF, and batch processing environments.

Experience monitoring production systems and handling critical incidents.

Understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Willingness to work shifts and provide 24/7 production support when required.
