About the Role
The Missiles & Space Systems Division is seeking a Navigation Engineer to join the Engineering and Systems Division.
Responsibilities:
• Development and implementation of navigation algorithms for airborne systems.
• Writing relevant simulations, performance analysis, and evaluations.
• Development in Python and MATLAB environments.
• Collaboration with System Engineers and Project Managers.
• Participation in laboratory, field, and test-range experiments.
Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mathematics / Physics / Electrical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory.
• Experience in navigation systems – Mandatory.
• Familiarity with inertial sensors – Mandatory.
• Experience in statistical estimation, statistical signal processing, and Kalman filtering – Mandatory.
• Experience in developing physics-based / mathematical algorithms – Advantage.

Research and development in this field require creativity and the ability to advance innovative ideas beyond standard engineering approaches. The challenges of this role require deep understanding and/or self-learning capabilities across various scientific and engineering disciplines.
A major advantage of the role is that at the end of the development process, field experiments are conducted to validate the theories and solutions implemented by the Navigation Engineer in real-world scenarios.
