We’re Hiring: SDK Technical QA Engineer (6-Month Contract)

📍 Location: Tel Aviv, Israel (Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site)

👥 Reports to: SDK Engineering Lead (with a dotted line to VP Product)

We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on SDK Technical QA Engineer to own the quality, release readiness, and version integrity of our Edge SDKs (iOS and Android).

This is not a traditional "run-the-test-case" QA role. You will act as the crucial technical bridge between our core engineering team in Tel Aviv and our wider business (Sales, CS, and Product). You will own the "go/no-go" release gates, govern our microsegment data dictionary, and build real-world confidence in our SDKs far beyond emulator testing.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

• Own Release Readiness: Run regression coverage, manage go/no-go gates, draft internal/external release notes, and lead version-review sessions for Customer Success and Sales.

• Raise the Quality Bar: Define and enforce thresholds for ANR/crash rates, battery impact, network resilience, and OS/framework variations. You'll move us beyond emulators with real-device and field-test programs.

• Govern the Microsegment Data Dictionary: Maintain this versioned product artifact—tracking deprecations, learning durations, confidence/maturity metadata, and code-backed evidence.

• Triage & Route: Reproduce and isolate SDK defects across various versions and client deployments, routing them to engineering and codifying learnings back into our regression suite.

• Maintain the Single Source of Truth: Keep a live, immaculate view of "which client is on which SDK version, and what are its capabilities/limitations."

• Partner with Product Ops: Build auditable, versioned QA documentation to support repeatable, gradual rollouts.

What Success Looks Like

• Every SDK release ships with rock-solid documented evidence (quality bar met, dictionary updated, client impact assessed).

• Sales, CS, and Product can look at one clear dashboard and confidently know which microsegments are reliable for a client's specific use case.

• Field defects are isolated, routed, and closed materially faster.

What We’re Looking For

• Mobile SDK Expertise: At least 3–4 years of hands-on experience working directly with iOS/Android SDKs, telemetry, and device-level data.

• Real-Device Testing Champions: Proven experience designing and running real-device and field testing (not just relying on simulators).

• Release Ownership: Experience owning quality for complex, multi-version platforms. You are comfortable making tough go/no-go calls and handling incident triage.

• Data-Savvy: Strong hands-on experience with data validation (SQL or equivalent), schema checks, and observability tools.

• Bridge Communicator: You can translate complex, deep technical SDK behaviors into clear, readable documentation for both engineering and non-technical business partners.
