SodaStream: Procurement Category Lead

Overview (English)

At SodaStream, part of PepsiCo, we are looking for a Procurement Category Lead to join our Global Procurement team.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies across key direct material categories, including plastics, food ingredients, bottles, and other raw materials. The position plays a critical role in ensuring supply continuity, driving cost optimization, managing supplier relationships, and supporting global sourcing initiatives.

The Procurement Category Lead will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers worldwide to align procurement activities with business needs while contributing to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable value creation.

Responsibilities (English)

• Develop and execute category procurement strategies for key direct material categories, including plastics, food ingredients, bottles, and other raw materials.

• Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities while supporting long-term value creation initiatives.

• Lead sourcing activities, including RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection processes, and commercial negotiations.

• Build, develop, and manage strategic supplier relationships to improve performance, innovation, quality, and cost competitiveness.

• Drive risk management initiatives and support business continuity planning across the supply base.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams, to align sourcing activities with business requirements.

• Support global procurement projects and cross-regional sourcing activities.

• Monitor supplier performance through key KPIs related to cost, service, quality, and delivery.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and governance requirements.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across procurement and sourcing processes.

Qualifications (English)

• Bachelor's degree – mandatory (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred).

• 4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.

• Experience sourcing raw materials, such as plastics, food ingredients, packaging materials, or similar categories – advantage.

• Experience working in a global and/or matrix organization – advantage.

• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to evaluate commercial opportunities and business risks.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• High level of English, both written and spoken.

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives independently.
