Microbial Laboratory Technician

Groundwork BioAg is seeking a Laboratory Technician with experience or strong interest in microbiology to join our laboratory team. The role includes routine laboratory maintenance, work with microbial cultures, media preparation, logistical support for experiments, sterile work under controlled conditions, and use of advanced laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities:

·      Preparation and sterilization of media for microbial cultures.

·      Inoculation, cultivation, and identification of microorganisms.

·      Documentation of processes in computerized systems.

·      Performing quality control tests according to company procedures.

·      Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.

·      Carrying out additional tasks as required by company needs.

Requirements:

·      Relevant education: B.Sc. or Technical Diploma in Life Sciences / Microbiology.

·      Previous experience in a microbiology laboratory – an advantage.

·      Experience with PCR – an advantage.

·      Experience working with fungi or bacteria – an advantage.

·      Familiarity with computerized project management systems – an advantage.

·      Proficiency in sterile techniques and basic microbiological methods.

·      Strong organizational skills, accuracy, independence, and ability to meet deadlines.

·      Good technical English.

·      Full-time position with willingness to work intensive hours, occasionally outside of standard working times.

·      Willingness to work in the field when required.

·      Proficiency in MS Office and other computer applications.

·      Ability to commute independently to Moshav Mazor (between Petah Tikva and Yehud).
