Fijoya- Senior Full Stack Engineer

Fijoya is seeking a senior full-stack engineer who's as comfortable architecting systems as they are shipping polished mobile experiences. Why You? You've been around the block. You've built, shipped, and scaled — and you know the difference between code that works and code that lasts. You take ownership, move fast without breaking things, and make the engineers around you better. Your Role: • Own features end-to-end: You’ll lead the design and development of core product features across our apps, LLM-powered experiences, fintech workflows, and web app — from architecture decisions to pixel-level UX polish. • Full-stack depth: Build and own cloud-based, serverless backend services that power the product. You'll define the contracts between client and server, not just consume them. • Set the bar: Your code, reviews, and architectural decisions become the standard. Junior engineers will learn from you. • Shape the roadmap: You'll partner with Product and UX as a technical co-author of the product direction — not just an executor.

Requirements: What You Bring: • 5+ years in software engineering, with meaningful time building production-grade applications. • React is your wheelhouse — you've shipped apps to the App Store and/or Google Play, dealt with native modules, handled offline states, optimized render performance, and debugged the gnarly stuff. • Strong proficiency in React, Node.js, and TypeScript across the stack. • Deep experience with serverless cloud architectures on GCP or AWS. • Solid grounding in databases — PostgreSQL, Firestore, MongoDB, or similar. • A track record with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and engineering hygiene that keeps teams moving fast. • Strong communication skills — you can explain tradeoffs to a PM, a founder, and a junior dev in the same conversation. What Sets You Apart: • You've architected systems from scratch and lived with the consequences — good and bad. • You have strong opinions about mobile UX and the taste to back them up. • You've thrived in early-stage startup environments where the map doesn't exist yet. • Bonus: experience in digital health, regulated industries, or real-time data.
