Who are we looking for

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to thrive in an environment with complex software and hardware designs, take ownership and be responsible for assembly and integration of a novel ophthalmic robotic platform. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is motivated and passionate to make an impact in creating the next generation of ophthalmic robotic surgery.

Responsibilities

• System cables development.

• Hardware and mechanical testing stations development lead (for R&D and production).

• Debugging hardware related issues.

• Assembly and integration of hardware modules (PCBs, cables, subsystems) into the full system.

• Validation of interconnections, pinouts, and compatibility between boards and cables.

• Performance of system-level power-up and integration testing.

• Definition of Acceptance Test Procedures during and after system assembly.

• Documentation of system wiring diagrams, cables mapping and connectors tables.

• Full familiarity with the system application.

• Collaborate on medical device integration requirements with system engineering.

Requirements

• Practical engineer in electronics.

• At least 5 years of experience with technologically complex multidisciplinary systems including HW, mechanics & SW.

• Experience with electronic boards debugging.

• High hands-on technical skills. Familiar with wiring, electronics, and electricity.

• Understanding of electrical schemes.

• High hands-on skills in creating and improvising electromechanical jigs.

• Knowledge of testing methodologies.

• Prior experience with encoder and motors technology - an advantage.

• Good organizational and communicational skills.

• Ability to manage, lead technically.
