FinOps Specialists control and optimize the costs of computing resources.

Responsibilities

• Establish cost visibility and accountability models: Develop cost metrics such as cost per request or per user.

• Identify cost drivers and waste patterns: Analyze usage patterns to detect inefficiencies.

• Produce cost performance reports: Prepare regular cost reporting and recommend improvements.

• Run optimization cycles: Implement rightsizing and scheduling to reduce costs.

• Operate anomaly detection: Create alerts for unusual spending patterns.

• Support budgeting and forecasting: Provide cost estimates and collaborate with finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or computer science.

• Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, and cloud resource management.
