Current Opportunity: Officer, Student Success, Israel – Tel Aviv, Israel

The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation is seeking an Officer, Student Success to join our team in Israel. This role is part of the founding team for the Dell IL מל"ג ות"תTech Leaders Scholarship — a partnership with the Council for Higher Education designed to support young adults from socio-economic and geographic periphery communities in pursuing STEM education at leading universities. The program begins at the preparatory stage and continues through graduation and entry into the tech workforce.

We are looking for a student-centered, attuned, and self-motivated professional who is passionate about building supportive ecosystems for students. The ideal candidate is aligned with the program's vision, detail-oriented, and responsive to a dynamic and evolving environment.

About the Role

This role sits at the heart of the scholarship program—directly accompanying students from onboarding through graduation and into employment. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for scholars, institutions, and program partners, while also contributing to the data and operational systems that drive program quality.

You will be expected to:

Provide Ongoing Student Support & Community Building

• Take an active part in the sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding processes of new students joining the program.

• Provide academic, emotional, and financial support to students throughout the program, building personalized support systems to advance each student's goals.

• Plan, lead, and facilitate meetings, workshops, and group activities throughout the year to create a cohesive community and strengthen students' sense of capability and belonging.

Lead Proactive Intervention & Crisis Management

• Conduct ongoing monitoring for early detection of dropout risks or barriers to academic success.

• Escalate complex cases and formulate tailored intervention plans in collaboration with relevant professionals.

Build Partnerships & Institutional Relations

• Establish ongoing, trust-based working relationships with preparatory programs (Mechinot), higher education institutions, and other professional entities.

• Represent the foundation as a credible and mission-aligned partner within Israel's higher education and social mobility ecosystem.

Manage Information Systems & Operations

• Manage data and ensure ongoing documentation in the program's CRM systems.

• Track and report on student success metrics to support program learning and accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, behavioral sciences, social sciences, social work, education, educational counseling, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience guiding and supporting young adults, student populations, or diverse communities.

• High-level proficiency in Hebrew and English, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

• Experience working with first-generation higher education students.

• Familiarity with the Israeli higher education system and experience working in preparatory programs (Mechinot), scholarship programs, or organizations promoting social mobility.

Who You Are

• Motivated by a genuine commitment to student wellbeing and success. Able to build trust with young adults navigating significant life transitions.

• Able to manage and track multiple concurrent processes in a dynamic, multi-interface environment without losing sight of individual student needs.

• Skilled at building relationships with diverse institutional stakeholders—universities, preparatory programs, and community organizations.

• Comfortable operating in an evolving program environment; able to respond quickly and thoughtfully to emerging challenges.

• Aligned with the foundation's mission to expand opportunity for underserved communities and motivated by measurable social impact.

Key Skills and Traits

• High interpersonal ability and a demonstrated capacity to build trust quickly.

• Experience leading personal growth processes and motivating individuals to achieve goals.

• Excellent written and verbal communication in both Hebrew and English.

• Proficiency in data management and CRM tools.

• High ethical standards and accountability.

Travel Requirement

• Regular travel to academic institutions across Israel.

• Occasional domestic travel as required.

Why This Role?

Join a founding team with the unique opportunity to shape a program from the ground up. The Dell IL מל"ג ות"ת Tech Leaders Scholarship Program is designed to create real, lasting pathways for talented students who face structural barriers to higher education and career success in tech. If you are ready to bring your expertise in student support into a mission-driven, entrepreneurial environment—and help build something meaningful from the start—we would love to meet you.

Equal Opportunity Policy

We seek engaged and experienced people who want an active role in that mission and can thrive in a multinational environment. The foundation is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
