Linux System Administrator

📌 About the Role

Nuvoton Israel is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will install, monitor, and maintain production Linux systems tailored for high-performance Electronic Design Automation (EDA) workloads. You will work in a fast-paced, heterogeneous computing environment, providing critical support to our CAD and Engineering teams.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance: Install, configure, monitor, and maintain production Linux servers.

• Workload Optimization: Support high-performance computing (HPC) systems optimized for EDA workloads.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Provide technical support and infrastructure solutions to CAD and Engineering teams.

• Environment Management: Maintain and troubleshoot a complex, heterogeneous IT computing environment.

• Performance Monitoring: Ensure maximum system uptime, reliability, and security across all platforms.

• AI Integration: Assisting developers in integrating cutting edge AI tools in design methodologies

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience as a Linux System Administrator.

• OS Expertise: Proven experience installing, configuring, and managing RedHat Linux and Ubuntu systems, including kickstart and network installs.

• Technical Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and Linux OS internals. Solid ability to write and debug Python, Perl or Bash scripts

• Security: Experience with secure, air-gapped environments

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a strong service-oriented mindset.

• Core Traits: Quick learner, exceptional multitasker, and comfortable navigating dynamic environments.

🌟 Advantages

• Familiarity with workload managers like Slurm.

• Automation experience using Ansible.

• Experience working with Git, Gitlab/Github, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or Docker containers.

• Storage management experience with NetApp servers.

• Virtualization experience with VMware.

• Experience supporting EDA workflows or CAD tools, including FlexLM license servers
