Information Systems Development Team Lead

Join the Technology Division of one of Israel's leading financial organizations and lead a software development team responsible for delivering cloud-based data platforms and AI-driven solutions supporting the organization's actuarial domain. You'll combine people leadership, hands-on technical expertise, architectural design, and close collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, business-critical solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a software development team, providing both managerial and technical leadership

• Design scalable system architectures and define technical solutions for complex business and data platforms

• Lead the modernization and migration of enterprise systems from SQL Server to Microsoft Azure

• Lead the development and evolution of cloud-based systems using Python, SQL, Azure, and Databricks

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions

• Build and manage quarterly work plans, prioritize initiatives, and oversee team execution

• Lead complex cross-functional projects from planning through production deployment

• Collaborate with internal technology teams, business units, and external vendors

• Drive the adoption of AI-powered solutions to enhance data analysis, automation, and decision-making across actuarial processes

• Promote engineering best practices, continuous improvement, and the adoption of new technologies

Requirements:

Must Have:

• 3+ years of experience leading software development teams

• 2+ years of hands-on Python development experience, including system architecture and technical solution design

• Proven experience leading complex cross-functional technology projects

• Proven experience working closely with business stakeholders, understanding business needs, and translating them into technical solutions

• Strong planning, prioritization, and project management skills

• Good English communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Unity Catalog

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data platforms

• Experience leading cloud migration or technology transformation initiatives

• Experience in financial services, insurance, or actuarial environments

• Experience leading Big Data or Data Engineering teams

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
