About the Role We are looking for an experienced Director of R&D to lead our multidisciplinary engineering organization.

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing an R&D organization of approximately 12 engineers, leading cross-functional development teams, and delivering innovative products that combine software, hardware, embedded systems, cloud technologies, and IoT.

The Director of R&D will work closely with executive management, Product Management, and Operations to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products from requirements through product release.

Key Responsibilities ✔ Lead and manage the company's R&D organization.

✔ Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across Software, Hardware, Embedded/Firmware, Cloud, DevOps, Mobile, and QA.

✔ Drive end-to-end product development from requirements through product release.

✔ Lead integration across hardware, software, firmware, and cloud technologies.

✔ Continuously improve engineering processes, development methodologies, and quality standards.

✔ Mentor and develop engineering managers and technical teams.

✔ Ensure high-quality execution, timely delivery, and continuous improvement.

Requirements ✔ 10+ years of experience in technology development.

✔ 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.

✔ Proven experience managing at least two engineering teams, including at least one multidisciplinary team combining software, hardware, and IoT development.

✔ Proven experience developing IoT products or products that combine hardware and software.

✔ Strong technical understanding of software, hardware, embedded systems, cloud technologies, and system architecture.

✔ Proven experience leading product development from requirements through product release.

✔ Excellent leadership, organizational, planning, and people management skills.

✔ Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing engineering managers or team leads.

• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.

• Experience in Energy, Smart Infrastructure, Defense, or Critical Infrastructure.

• Familiarity with communication protocols, particularly MQTT.

• Project management experience.
