Algorithms Group Manager

ThirdEye Systems is a leading technology company specializing in the development of advanced Electro-Optical products and systems, powered by Computer Vision and AI technologies, for defense and security applications.

We are looking for an experienced Algorithms Group Manager to lead our Algorithms activities, manage two Team Leaders, drive technical excellence, and ensure the successful delivery of advanced algorithmic solutions for challenging real-world applications.

What will you do?

• Manage, mentor,  coordinate and support the group’s Team Leaders.

• Define and drive the technical roadmap of the Algorithms group, aligned with product, system and business requirements.

• Serve as a senior technical authority in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Machine Learning and image processing.

• Lead algorithm development from research and concept through development, integration and deployment.

• Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of algorithmic solutions for real-world operational challenges.

• Work closely with R&D, System Engineering, Product, Integration and other multidisciplinary teams to translate system requirements into effective algorithmic solutions.

• Support Team Leaders in resolving complex technical challenges and making effective technical decisions.

• Identify technical risks and drive effective solutions in a dynamic and changing environment.

Requirements

• 7 years of management experience in the field of  Computer Vision / Deep Learning / Algorithms, including at least 2  years of experience managing teams or as a Group Manager – a must.

• Deep understanding of Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and image processing, with hands-on R&D experience.

• Strong experience with CNN-based algorithms, including object detection, classification, segmentation and anomaly detection.

• Proven experience leading development processes from research and concept through development, integration and deployment.

• Strong system-level understanding combined with excellent attention to technical details.

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborating with System, Software, Hardware, Product and Integration teams.

• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.

• Innovative, independent and hands-on approach to problem solving.

• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field – required.

• Experience in defense, electro-optics, imaging, autonomous systems or real-world Computer Vision applications – an advantage.
