Mechanical Engineer - Stealth Mode Start-Up

We are looking for a mechanical engineer with initiative and the ability to work independently, for a role focused on the mechanical design and development of a subsea sensor operating in demanding environmental conditions. The position offers broad ownership of the product — from design through manufacturing to testing — in a multidisciplinary environment that combines deep engineering thinking with hands-on work.

Core Responsibilities

• Mechanical design and development of a subsea sensor, including pressure housings, sealing, and integration of optical and electronic components

• Design for environmental conditions — hydrostatic pressure, vibration, corrosion, and temperature — ensuring the hardware meets rigorous standards for marine deployment

• Hands-on execution of assembly, integration, and testing of the system

• Jig and fixture design, engineering drawings, and documentation

• Supporting production across diverse manufacturing technologies, including SLS 3D printing and casting

• Supporting technology transfer from prototype to production

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering — required

• Experience in mechanical design using CAD tools (NX preferred)

• Experience or background in manufacturing technologies: SLS 3D printing and casting

• Experience setting up SLS printing capabilities

• Experience with technology transfer from development to production

• Understanding of design for environmental conditions (vibration, corrosion)

• Hands-on approach and willingness to work in the lab and in the field, alongside design work
