Software Architect

We are looking for an experienced and talented Software Architect to join the Voca R&D team and play a key role in shaping the architecture and technical direction of our next-generation customer experience solutions. Voca is AudioCodes’ award-winning, AI-first Contact Center as a Service portfolio, serving more than 200 enterprise customers across multiple Microsoft Azure regions worldwide. The portfolio includes two main solutions: • Voca CIC for Microsoft Teams – a cloud-native, omnichannel contact center built natively on Microsoft Azure and deeply integrated with Microsoft Teams. The platform brings voice, chat, and email interactions into a unified agent experience and incorporates AI capabilities such as voice agents, call summarization, sentiment analysis, and intelligent routing. • Voca AI Receptionist – a voice-platform-agnostic AI solution that can operate on top of Microsoft Teams, Cisco, Avaya, RingCentral, traditional PBX systems, and carrier voice services. It provides capabilities such as AI-based call routing, document and website-grounded Q&A, CRM integrations, appointment scheduling, and outbound SMS. The Voca platform operates at the intersection of cloud software, real-time voice communication, enterprise applications, and applied AI. It is built on a large-scale, distributed microservices architecture, primarily using Node.js and Microsoft Azure. The broader technology environment includes Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, REST APIs, SIP and telephony technologies, Microsoft Teams integrations, Large Language Models, Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, and additional Azure AI services. As a Software Architect , you will work closely with Product Management, software development teams, QA, security, and operational stakeholders. You will translate business and product needs into scalable technical solutions and guide their implementation across the development lifecycle. This role is ideal for an architect who combines broad system-level thinking with the ability to understand technical details, work closely with engineering teams, and solve complex challenges across cloud, AI, and real-time communication environments.

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • At least five years of experience as a Software Architect or in a comparable senior architecture role. • Proven experience designing complex, large-scale software systems. • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, cloud-native applications, and SaaS platforms. • Experience designing scalable services, APIs, system integrations, and communication between distributed components. • Experience working with Microsoft Azure or another major public cloud platform. • Strong software engineering background and the ability to participate hands-on in technical design, prototyping, code reviews, and complex problem-solving. • Ability to understand both the overall system architecture and the detailed behavior of individual services and components. • Strong understanding of software quality attributes, including scalability, reliability, availability, security, performance, and maintainability. • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills. • Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Practical experience using AI tools for software development, research, rapid prototyping, or MVP creation.
