Backend Developer-Billing Platform

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our Billing Platform team and play a key role in evolving and modernizing our complex billing systems. Our team owns Pango’s billing infrastructure end-to-end - from invoice generation and payment processing to settlements with internal and external partners. Our systems process transactions worth approximately NIS 2 billion annually and scale from tens of thousands to millions of transactions during peak financial periods. Requirements: • At least 4 years of experience in complex backend development. • Ability to quickly grasp complex systems and business domains, ask the right questions, and turn ambiguous problems into simple, practical solutions. • Proven ability to design and build scalable systems using OOP principles. • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases • Hands-on experience with distributed and event-driven, data-intensive systems and robust APIs, with proven AWS expertise while experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and Step Functions is a significant advantage. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and adherence to code-quality standards. • Curiosity and practical experience with AI and modern development tools, to improve and optimize development processes. • Strong ability to work across cross-functional teams and align technical efforts with business and operational needs. • Full professional proficiency in Hebrew and English, both spoken and written.
