Backend Engineer

What we're looking for Faye is redefining travel insurance through a fully digital, data-driven platform that delivers real-time travel care, streamlined claims, and proactive disruption handling. We’re looking for a Backend Developer to help build and scale the core systems powering our products end-to-end. In this role, you’ll take ownership of backend services, design and develop robust, scalable architectures, and work closely with product and engineering teams to solve meaningful challenges that directly impact our customers and partners. You’ll work with modern technologies including Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS, in a fast-moving environment that values strong engineering fundamentals, a product-driven mindset, and a passion for solving complex problems at scale.

Requirements: • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript. • Experience working with backend frameworks such as Nest.js or similar frameworks. • Solid understanding of relational databases and experience with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile development methodologies. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
