Role Description

The Solar PV Field Technician is a full-time, on-site role involving work on solar projects across Israel.

The technician takes part in the complete on-site installation process, supporting projects from the initial preparation and construction stages through system completion and commissioning. The position combines technical, mechanical, installation, and electrical work and is suitable for candidates who enjoy practical fieldwork, teamwork, and seeing projects develop from the ground up.

Daily responsibilities may include:

- Preparing and organizing installation sites, equipment, tools, and materials.

- Assisting with site measurements, system layout, and preparation for installation.

- Installing mounting structures, rails, supports, solar modules, cable trays, conduits, and related system components.

- Performing cable routing, DC and AC wiring, equipment connections, and installation of inverters, electrical panels, communication devices, and monitoring equipment.

- Supporting the construction and installation process across residential rooftops, commercial and industrial buildings, and ground-mounted solar sites.

- Performing system inspections, electrical and mechanical testing, commissioning activities, and operational verification.

- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, including inspections, testing, component replacement, cleaning, adjustments, and performance checks.

- Diagnosing and resolving technical, electrical, mechanical, and communication-related faults.

- Documenting completed work, site progress, measurements, faults, and maintenance activities.

- Reporting to project managers and engineers and coordinating with installation teams, subcontractors, customers, and other professionals on site.

- Supporting customers with basic operational questions and providing clear and professional explanations when required.

- Following company procedures, safety regulations, engineering requirements, and quality-control standards.

- Maintaining tools, testing equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

- Contributing to improvements in installation methods, work quality, efficiency, and field processes.

The role includes regular work at outdoor project sites and requires flexibility to work in changing field conditions. Projects are located throughout Israel, and the position therefore involves travel between different sites according to the company’s project schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and hands-on skills.

• Experience in solar, electrical, mechanical, construction, or technical fieldwork is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of DC/AC systems, inverters, and electrical equipment.

• Ability to use tools and measurement equipment.

• Willingness to work outdoors, at heights, and at sites across Israel.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

• Technical education or electrical certification is an advantage.

• Good Hebrew; English is an advantage.

• Valid driver’s license.
