The Calibration team keeps that stack honest - making sure every qubit and gate on the QPU performs the way the rest of the system assumes it does. If you’re ready to dig into calibration data, understand what the numbers are really telling you, and help define how the system should react when something drifts, this is the place for you!
Responsibilities:
• Define calibration KPIs and maintain QPU performance within specification across individual components (resonators, qubits, couplers, etc) and control parameters
• Analyze calibration history, parameter drift, and single- and two-qubit gate performance to identify systematic trends, correlations, and failure modes
• Design novel calibration and characterization experiments and protocols for single- and two-qubit gates
• Aid in design and development of scalable software with automated calibration workflows for QPU bring-up and tune-up
Position Reuirements:
• MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with experimental measurements, laboratory systems, or quantum hardware
• Strong background in data analysis and statistical methods
• Previous experience in RF/microwave electronics and measurement techniques, preferably in superconducting qubit systems
• Software development experience with in Python, C++, or equivalent OOP language
Nice to Have:
• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Prior experience with superconducting qubit platforms (preferably transmon systems)
• Familiarity with lab control/automation stacks and calibration/monitoring pipelines
• Published research, conference presentations, or poster presentations in quantum information science
